Summary of Innovation
The all-new StorTRACK launched in May 2023, has become the most in demand product from Vimaan. After years amassing countless hours of automated cycle counting using drones, Vimaan has introduced a new paradigm shift to tracking warehouse inventory. StorTRACK is a truly one-of-a-kind, AI-enabled computer vision system that is picked up (like a pallet), lifted, and maneuvered by an MHE already owned by the warehouse. Shaped in the form of a pallet, the MHE is used to lift StorTRACK to cycle count as fast as the forks can be raised and lowered. Powered by AI computer vision, StorTRACK learns more about the warehouse environment with each mission, allowing for continually improving cycle count performance. Once completed the MHE operator returns StorTRACK to its charging station.
Unlike other cycle counting technology that have battery charge lives of 20 minutes or less, the StorTRACK battery lasts up to 8 hours allowing for continuous cycle counting throughout an entire shift. StorTRACK also possesses a scanning field-of-view of 4 feet, which is 4X larger than most cycle count solutions, allowing it to capture a wider amount of inventory in just one pass. StorTRACK continuously scans as the MHE raises and lowers its forks, allowing it to scan dozens of items at once (just as fast it can scan one). Instead of just scanning barcodes, StorTRACK provides a more comprehensive view of the inventory including barcodes, packaging text, warning notifications, damage detection, bin utilization and even counts items on the shelves. Because StorTRACK uses computer vision to scan inventory, all inventory is viewable in an archived database of digital images, saving warehouse staff hours of work physically examining warehouse shelves.

The results achieved by StorTRACK have even exceeded the expectations of Vimaan engineers, one customer has reported a 40X improvement in cycle counting speed- what used to take a week now takes an hour, additionally the customer reports a doubling of their inventory accuracy.
