Summary of Innovation
OPERA is a fully automated solution designed to efficiently create right-size packaging for the variable needs of the e-commerce channel. Engineered to accommodate a wide range of single or multiple products, OPERA leverages a patented cross-shaped blank and a patented box production system to create fit-to-size packaging. With a linear footprint and an average production rate capacity of 10-13 boxes per minute, the system will size the product, create a right-size blank, glue and seal the package and add a label for shipping.
Producing curbside recyclable fiber-based packages, the OPERA system utilizes a single strip of fanfold corrugate engineered to help optimize material use and minimize waste. Corrugate trimmings are automatically captured and can be used as additional protective inner packaging.
