Summary of Innovation
The ELOshield AGV/AMR module prevents accidents between small and easy-to-overlook driverless transport vehicles (automated guided vehicles/autonomous mobile robots) and industrial forklifts equipped with the ELOshield forklift safety and pedestrian detection system. The Ultra-Wide Band (UWB) -based ELOshield AGV/AMR system—easily installed on these now prolific material handling vehicles due to the module’s small size (3.3in x 2in x 0.8in) acts as stand-alone antenna to offer 360-degree detection at a range of up to 80+ feet for vehicles.
The OEM -agnostic system is optimized for use in fleets with different types and brands of AGVs and AMRs and can be easily pre-installed by the vendor/supplier of the AGV/AMR or retrofitted on-site onto existing fleets. ELOshield and the AGV/AMR module can be combined with warning lights, gate controls or projectors to achieve a comprehensive improvement in operational safety without compromising vehicle productivity.

The compact and easy-to-install ELOshield AGV/AMR module prevents collisions between automated guided vehicles (AGVs), autonomous mobile robots (AMRs) and other industrial vehicles (forklifts, tuggers etc.) equipped with the ELOshield system and it has been proven to significantly reduce the maintenance and repair costs associated with a mixed fleet of AGV’s, AMR’s and industrial vehicles.
