Yard management innovations from Kaleris level up efficiency and safety while also creating a shipper-of-choice experience for drivers. The new features include Intelligent Trailer Movement, Enhanced Driver Experiences, and Real-Time Trailer Tracking with BLE tags.
Intelligent Trailer Movement strategically organizes yard moves to minimize conflicts and reduce bottlenecks while maximizing safety and efficiency. A central hub, Whiteboard, allows yard managers to create and monitor trailer movements, sequence moves to meet specific needs, adjust assigned dock doors or parking spots, and accommodate priority moves. The YMS dynamically optimizes and automates, across all inputs to effectively allocate resources.
Enhanced Driver Experiences through an upgraded mobile and web app. The driver precheck-in app streamlines the check-in process so drivers can get in the gate quickly, receive clear instructions on their parking or dock slot, and have a smooth departure process. The newest version of the mobile app offers live inbound and outbound check-in to speed up arrivals and departures. Another key aspect is the ability to keep drivers off-site until ready to be processed, reducing congestion at the gate while decreasing liability within the yard.
Real-Time Trailer Tracking leverages an integration between the Kaleris YMS and Radiant Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) tags. Through automatic data transfer, shippers can streamline trailer management without manual intervention. The new feature:
• Delivers instant updates on trailer locations and statuses to make data-driven decisions
• Automates gate entry reads, reducing wait times, increasing throughput, and minimizing delays
• Precise insight into trailer inventory for improved space utilization
All the new features support both manufacturing and finished goods yards, including retail and food & beverage.
